Course Taster

The OU Course Taster page for H806 doesn't seem to be quite ready for public consumption yet, but it will be worth keeping an eye on.

I would love to do this course - only one thing puts me off - the price!

The sample pages aren't being rendered correctly because of a typo in the URLs - they've saved them as .mht instead of .htm. I've reported it to the webmaster.

Bill - I'm very fortunate, as the OU is funding this course. It isn't something I could have afforded otherwise.

Re .mht - I suspect this format is being used on the development site (I located the taster pages via a search - they're not officially linked yet, as far as I can see). I believe it's a web archive format produced by MS Publisher. I'm a little surprised to see it in use here, as the last time I encountered it in the OU, it was being denounced as a Thing of Great Evil.

Looking at the source code of the sample pages the original files on the main H806 site are either .htm or .html, they were then saved in Internet Explorer as .mht, and emailed.

The taster page is linked on the main H806 course description page.

Aargh, so it is - the link wasn't in place last time I checked. I've joined you in reporting it to the webmaster!
